Popis cesty

Cesta přátelství neboli Freundschaftsweg je unikátní projekt, za kterým stojí sympatický Heiko Hesse, provozovatel Kräuterbaude v saském Hinterhermsdorfu (www.kräuterbaude.de). Tato malebná obec se nachází ve výběžku „na konci Německa“ obklopeném ze tří stran Českou republikou.

Heiko, jako mmnoho dalších, pochopil, že České a Saské Švýcarsko tvoří jeden společný region, a veškerá jeho aktivita se soustředí na spolupráci Čechů a Němců na obou stranách hranice a vlastně na její smazání z myslí místních obyvatel a návštěvníků regionu.

Cesta přátelství je jedním z výsledků jeho činnosti, je to skutečná značená trasa, která spojuje jeho Kräuterbaude s naším Zámečkem. V podstatě jde o dvě trasy, každá dlouhá 16 km a společně tvoří okruh, který je ale příliš dlouhý, aby se ušel za jeden jediný den. Hlavní myšlenkou Cesty přátelství je tedy vyrazit buď z Hinterhermsdorfu nebo z Rynartic, přespat v Kräuterbaude nebo na Zámečku a druhý den se vydat zpět a přitom poznat nové přátele v Česku a Německu.

Description of the trip

The Friendship Trail, or Freundschaftsweg, is a unique project behind the likeable Heiko Hesse, the operator of the Kräuterbaude in Hinterhermsdorf, Saxony (www.kräuterbaude.de). This picturesque village is located in a promontory “at the end of Germany” surrounded on three sides by the Czech Republic.

Heiko, like many others, understood that the Czech and Saxon Switzerland form one common region, and all his activities are focused on the cooperation of Czechs and Germans on both sides of the border and actually on erasing it from the minds of the locals and visitors to the region.

The Friendship Trail is one of the results of his work, it is a real marked trail that connects his Kräuterbaude with our Chateau. Basically, there are two routes, each 16 km long, and together they form a circuit that is too long to walk in a single day. The main idea of the Friendship Journey is to set off from either Hinterhermsdorf or Rynartice, spend the night in Kräuterbaude or at the Chateau, and then return the next day to meet new friends in the Czech Republic and Germany.
