Belveder viewpoint

It is a beautiful hiking trip through the canyon of Suchá Kamenice away from the crowds of tourists. Drive to the village of Arnoltice, park at the church and follow the blue hiking trail towards Labská Stráň, after about 15 minutes you will reach the bottom of the canyon, which is surrounded by steep sandstone walls. Halfway up the canyon, the blue hiking trail ends, then follow the red hiking trail to Labská Stráň and from there to Belveder, a sandstone terrace on the edge of the Elbe Canyon, about 200 m above the Elbe River. At Belveder you will also find a restaurant where you can refresh yourself. You can also go down to the Elbe on the green hiking trail or the stairs leading directly from the Belvedere and then join the green trail again, which will lead you to the end of the Sucha Kamenice by the Elbe. Here, next to the bridge, there is a “red” spring that is definitely worth a look. Follow the red trail through the lower part of Suchá Kamenice back to Arnoltice. Along the way, look out for ancient inscriptions or various formations carved into the sandstone. The total length is about 10 km. With small children you can take the bus back from Labská Strána (about 3 minutes).
