Děčínský Sněžník is the highest mountain in Czech-Saxon Switzerland (723 m) and the largest table mountain in Central Europe. It is the place where the first television signal was captured in the Czech Republic. From the top of the mountain you can see the Czech Central Highlands and the town of Decin on one side, Saxon Switzerland and its table mountains on the other side, and you can even see Dresden. Sněžník can be reached from Děčín (7 km) or from the village of Sněžník (about 1.5 km). Tisske Stěny is one of our most beautiful rock towns, approximately 4 km from Sněžník. It’s the location where The Chronicles of Narnia was filmed.
