Sitting on the terrace of the hotel restaurant, you cannot help but notice the dominant feature of the landscape around Rynartice, the 737 m high Studenec Hill. On its peak is one of our oldest lookout towers, built in 1888 on the site of the original triangulation point. Over the years, however, it fell into disrepair and was even to be demolished. At the last minute it was saved and reopened to the public in 2009. From the observation platform 17 metres above the ground, you can enjoy views of the Krušné, Lužické and Jizerské hory, Krkonoše and České středohoří mountains. It is about 6 km from Zámeček through the Pavlina Valley to the top of Studenec. If you are not too tired, you can also take a look at the basalt columns on Zlate Hill, which is another 2 km from Studenec. You have to return to the hotel by the same route again.
